Historically, Marc Marquez has weed all over his opponents from a great height, so why did his hopes go up in smoke when he visited Holland? (Actually the flat country identifies as the Nether Regions). This was as big a mystery as the question, “Why the hell do they sell mountain bikes in Holland?” Let’s run through the possibilities:

It’s been a hard season of flying around the planet. Did #93 simply space out?
Something he ate
Holland isn’t the best place to go to for edibles. If you look up the Nether Regions in the Michelin Guide, it just says “RUN!!!!” The mere fact that they put mayonnaise on chips is a strong argument for nuking the entire country from orbit. Maybe Marc ate something that didn’t agree with him.
It was Michelin’s fault
MotoGP bikes are attached to the road by a sticky-icky-icky substance provided by the French. At Assen, Marc struggled to stem Pecco’s dominance and sow the seeds of success. The problem was that Michelin’s product is the sh*t, especially when the phrase “Tyre Pressure” enters the chat.

Assen has a racing line about as wide as a Rizla paper. Was Marc concerned about running off the track and getting severely stoned?
The Green
For some reason, the Cloggers have decided to splash green paint all over the place to prevent any enjoyable overtaking. In particular, the final chicane (Dutch pronunciation: Hoeleghuejenbleugher) used to be one of the best passing places on Earth, but is now merely a place to be filmed taking the green and being prosecuted by the feds. Was Marc scared to be seen on the green?
Didn’t want to finish 8th
There’s a lot of expectation on Marc’s shoulders. Was he so scared to finish an 8th that he just ended up zig-zagging all over the place?
Conclusion
