What’s your thoughts on mental health? N.Osaka
I’m hearing a lot about mental health these days Naomi and it seems to be a great excuse for people without the bravery and good looks from reaching the top of the mountain. And in my case that mountain would be Everest and you can be sure I’d be doing the double on it to massive crowds.
Clearly if long time losers like Norick Abe and Kevin Schwantz were around these days they’d also be blaming their poor corner exit technique on not getting enough attention from their mum* or feeling sad that their helmet designs weren’t as ground-breaking as mine.
Do you think riders need interests outside of racing like music? E.Jordan
Honestly Eddie I’m not a huge music fan for a couple of reasons:
1. It looks too easy
2. When you boil it down it’s just people going on about stuff they’ve done not as well as I’d do it, or it’s things that they are considering doing but not as well as I’ve already done it.
Probably why James Toseland used to spend all his free time at WSB weekends playing his awful music to my fans at Brands when he should have been either sorting his haircut out or watching some of my DVD’s to correct his tyre management issues.
That said Chris Walker did tell me privately that his favourite song is ‘Nothing Compares to You’ by Sinead O’Baldy as it reminds him of me and he wants it played at his funeral.
What’s your thoughts on Toprak Razgatlioglu? P.Denning
Well Paul I think it’s excellent that TopHat is the new champion. No one likes to see the same rider winning year-after-year (unless it’s me).
Anyway fair play to TopCat. When I first saw a Turkish rider on the grid I thought it was a gimmick to give a country without any pedigree a seat at the top table. Like when I gave Troy Corser a ride on the Petronas.
Can mm93 be champion in 2022? J.Mir
Good question Joan. I think Marc Marquez could probably ride at 80% and win most races. It’s something he most likely learnt from me – but I was actually more like 79% and I have some pretty robust data to prove this.
Anyway as a foreigner I think he’s probably made too much of his arm injury (especially as it was his own fault for falling off) I would have been embarrassed to have to missed any races and would have just gone back to my engineers explained the adaptions I needed to the bike, tested the updated bike, realised they’d done it wrong, make the changes myself, make a really authentic chilli con carne using chunks of beef and not mince, claim pole and then win all remaining races in that calendar year. But I guess that’s me all over.
*Or in John Kocinski’s case probably too much attention
